The Defender + faceshield frame is made from lightweight polypropylene and accommodates all MSA visors. Its easy-in and easy-out visor channel allows for quick-and-easy visor replacement. With no mechanical pins used to hold the visor in place, there are no pins to inadvertently break off. The frame latches to bill of cap for a tight seal (latching tab models), and earmuff accessory simply snaps into frame pivot joint with no bolts and nuts to fasten. V-shaped frame extender enhances visor retention, minimizing flaring at bottom of visor. Front-drip-edge with lockdown brim offers splash protection against spills while providing an unlimited number of lift stop positions. The Foldback style frames are available in plastic (dielectric) and metal and can be used with slotted or non-slotted helmets. Available in cap or hat models. Visors sold separately. Meets ANSI Z87.1-2003.
